A recent trip to NYC has us loving handbag stickers. The trend isn't new, but it reminds us of our youth. Back in the day, our gear was covered with cute and quirky sayings and objects. A few seasons ago, designers started tapping into the retro inspiration and it has stuck. The Anya Hindmarch Stickered-Up Messenger (above) was inspired by the designer's love of decorating school notebooks. Here are a few more of our current sticker-inspired favorites:

The stickers on this Gucci Dionysus Hobo could probably be categorized as patches, but they have the same look. The Asian-inspired motifs are beyond gorgeous.

Anya Hindmarch's handbag stickers are a permanent commitment since their adhesives are so strong, but they are super cute on anything from a Speedy to a Birkin (if you're brave).
